Tigo breaks new ground with unlimited internet in Ghana

Accra, May 8, GNA - Tigo has introduced to the Ghanaian market the most attractive, convenient and affordable internet package that will enable subscribers to browse without any limitation on their devices.

    Announcing the offer on Tuesday in Accra, Obafemi Banigbe, Acting General Manager Tigo Ghana, described the package as, “a revolutionary breakthrough in the internet delivery with the most convenient and affordable internet package ever in the nation’s telecom history.”

    With Tigo, Internet users in Ghana, he said, did not have to worry about data volumes in megabytes and gigabytes. Customers will have the flexibility to choose either to access the internet through device including mobile phones and modems.     

    He said with Tigo Unlimited Internet, the company is breaking the generally held myth that “complete Internet access and affordability is for a selected few, and we are handing the power of unlimited internet access to every single subscriber in the country at affordable rates.”         

    Subscribers can be up to date and in constant connection with people and with what is happening around the world.

    “Our subscribers can read the news, search on Google, listen to music, watch videos, download and stream movies and not bother about their internet volume finishing,” Banigbe said.

    The product comes in three plans depending on the customer’s needs – daily, weekly and monthly plans with charges GHc0.99; GHc5.99 and GHc39.99 respectively.

    “We have designed these offers with the unique needs of our customers in mind with all the flexibility to move from one plan to the other depending on our customers’ situation,” the Acting GM said.
