International Evangelist predicts peaceful election in Ghana

Accra, May 27, GNA – Dr Lawrence Tetteh,  UK-based Ghanaian International Evangelist at the weekend predicted that Ghana would once again experience peaceful elections despite the pockets of violence that had characterised the process.

“God has heard the prayers of the people and will give us peaceful elections irrespective of the panic attacks that has preceded the December General Election,” he told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra , after a three-day crusade organised by the Worldwide Miracle Outreach in Sunyani  in the Brong Ahafo Region from May 23-May 25 to pray for peaceful elections.

Dr Tetteh who is the Founder and President of the church noted that God had already elected a leader for the country before the December 7 polls since “kings and princesses are enthroned by God”.

“God has never made a mistake before. He always gave Ghana a leader to suit a particular dispensation.

“Ghanaians as well as stakeholders of the presidential and parliamentary elections must  get into their prayer closets and continue to seek the face of the Lord for the political process.

“Nobody must underestimate the ultimate power of prayer. A prayer less nation is a powerless nation ,” he stressed.

Dr Tetteh said Ghana should encourage prayer and hard work  to promote development.

He expressed the need for Ghana to have Godly leaders who would shun corruption and other anti-Christ lifestyles, adding “Righteousness exalts a nation and when the righteous rule the people rejoice”.

The international evangelist  called for massive united front to facilitate Ghana’s development agenda, emphasising that without genuine unity development would elude the nation.

Touching on the Sunyani Crusade, on the theme: “Sunyani for Christ Crusade: Let God arise,” he said it attracted an unusual large number of Christian gathering and the outpouring  of the Holy Spirit and revival.

He said what was unique about the event was the number of political leaders and ministers of the gospel who were present.

Reverend Paul Naughton of the UK-based Benny Hinn Ministries , who addressed the crusade told the GNA that  the depth of the unity of the churches that attended the programme and the fellowship amongst them was something that the Christian community in the UK must learn.
