Kumasi, July 31, GNA – A 96-page book to help strengthen and inspire Christians to remain confident about the future has been launched at Old Tafo in Kumasi.
It is titled: “Achieving Godly Vision” and was authored by the Reverend Elvis Kwadwo Sarpong of the True Worshippers Assemblies of God Church.
Topics the book treats include “Holiness”, “God’s Awesome Power”, “Prayer Life”, “Apostolic Blessings”, “Unprecedented Faith”, Aggressive Mission” and “Perfect Marriage.”
The first three copies were auctioned at GH¢2,100.00.
The Reverend Samuel Nana Ghartey, Senior Pastor of the Mount Zion Assemblies of God at Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District, launching it, said there was the need to give more support and encouragement to writers.
He added that there was also the need to take a careful look at the high taxes on imported materials including paper, ink and chemicals that were suffocating the local publishing industry.
Rev Ghartey urged Ghanaians to develop a reading habit and praised the author for the book and recommended it to students, researchers, religious leaders and the general public.
