Accra, Aug 15, GNA - Apostle Dr Stephen Kwame Amoani, Chairman, Christ Apostolic Church International (CACI), on Wednesday urged Christians to continue to pray for peaceful elections that would be devoid of acrimony and any political or social upheavals in December.
In addition, he said, Christians should pray fervently for the presidency and state officials to seek God’s guidance and direction within the remaining few months towards the polls.
Apostle Amoani made the call at an on-going international prophetic camp meeting on the theme: "Taking Captive, Every Thought" in Accra.
He reminded Christians not to forget to pray for Nigeria, particularly Christians there, who are going through difficulties and hardship.
Apostle Amoani noted that “This is the time we need to watch and pray,” saying the times were bad and that had been confirmed by many prophesies given the signs of wars, famine, bloodshed and natural disasters.
“Let us hope in God that in these trying and difficult moments, he cares,” he added.
Apostle Amoani stressed that one could not take captive when he or she was a captive, adding “We cannot take captive of our thoughts if we are mentally enslaved.”
Apostle Amoani was optimistic that the prophetic tarry camp would be a turning point in individuals’ pursuit for total transformation and renewal of minds.
The camp, which began on August 13th, is one of the major prayer festivals on the church’s calendar intended to thank God for his faithfulness, providence and protection throughout the years.
It also provides church members the opportunity to seek the face of God for favour for the church and the nation in the ensuing years.
