Accra, July 26, GNA – Alliance For Accountable Governance (AFAG), on Thursday said the death of President John Evans Atta Mills last Tuesday July 24 marked the darkest and most challenging situation in the history of Ghana's democratic governance.
A statement signed by Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye, chairman of AFAG , copied to Ghana News Agency on Thursday in Accra, said: "the country has been hit hard with the sudden death of our finest statesman, President Mills.”
It said members of AFAG were filled with deep pain and shared with the people of Ghana, home and abroad, “the depth of pain crossing our hearts in this difficult time.”
"May the God Lord hold and keep our former first Lady Mrs Ernestina Naadu Mills, and family, Ghanaians both home and abroad,” the statement said.
