Mamponteng (Ash), Aug 8, GNA - The Saint Joseph Catholic Parish at Mamponteng in the Kwabre East District has cut the sod to mark the beginning of construction work on a new Senior High School (SHS) at Mamponteng.
It is projected that about GH¢15.8 million would be spent to get the needed infrastructure ready.
Facilities in the new school includes classrooms, assembly and dining halls, administration block, staff accommodation, dormitories’ for both, boys and girls, science laboratory and washrooms.
The Very Reverend Father Dr Paul Atta-Nsiah, the Saint Joseph Catholic Parish Priest, said the project is being supported by an American couple, Mr and Mrs Lynn Stanley of the Devout Catholic of Our Lady of Grace Parish, Edina, Minnesota.
He said the goal of the project was to help provide the youth in the area with access to quality education and to make them play meaningful roles in the development of the society.
He invited the people in the community to identify with the project by accepting to contribute their bit to ensure its early completion.
