Accra, Aug 17, GNA - The Accra Regional Police Command, has asked the general public and Muslims in particular, to ensure that this year's feast of Eid-Fitr, is celebrated peacefully.
A release signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Freeman Tettey, Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, cautioned the youth to desist from reckless acts such as riding unregistered motor bikes and offensive driving of cars.
It said Police Personnel would be deployed throughout the country, to ensure that unlawful behavior is prevented.
The release entreated program organizers for the celebration to be cautious of the law and ensure that their patrons did not act unlawfuly.
"Let us be mindful of the fact that Ghanaians are still mourning the death of President John Evans Atta Mills. Let us celebrate the feast in moderation and in a peaceful manner," it said.
