President nominates new Ministers

Accra, May 30, GNA - President John Dramani Mahama, has in accordance with Article 79(1) of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana, nominated Mr. Alex Segbefia as a Deputy Minister for Defence.


         A statement issued and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra said, the  Deputy Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Mr Antwi Boasiako-Sekyere, has also been nominated as Minister for the Eastern Region.
        According to the statement,  President Mahama has also re-assigned Mr Julius Debrah, Eastern Regional Minister as the  Minister for Local Government and Rural Development; and  Mr Yaw Effah Baafi, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources as now Deputy Minister for Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs.
